The adventure PHP framework (APF) is a utility to implement object oriented and generic PHP Web applications. It allows the developer to create programs in compliance with approved software design patterns, and the code base already has answers to many everyday problems. The framework cannot be described as an application that only has to be configured, but rather as a technical basis and design guide for the design of software. Further, it introduced many concepts and efficiency tools already well known in the Java community.
Ariadne is a Web Application Framework and Content Management System built with PHP. It allows you to build complex Web applications and sites with ease. It takes care of the mundane stuff like internationalization, security, user management, templating, data retrieval and storage, caching, and site management. It stores content in a structured object store that can be accessed through an extensive filesystem-like API.
Artisan System is a PHP framework aimed at build Web sites and e-commerce Web software very quickly and efficiently. It supports most of the features expected in a PHP framework, along with a feature-set with e-commerce classes. The e-commerce classes will support credit card processing, other payment methods, shipping calculators and estimators, product management, customer processing, and order creation and management. Artisan System has a very fast but structured development roadmap.
DBFW is a PHP-based database framework for rapid application development and rapid prototyping. It allows the creation of almost complete Web/database-based applications in no more than few hours, as well as faster development cycles. It uses automatic DB schema discovery with XML configuration files to automatically implement a basic user interface that can be extended through the use of ad-hoc PHP code.
DBPrism is an open source framework to generate dynamic XML from a database. It connects Oracle databases with Apache Cocoon, providing a high performance DBGenerator with functionality such as parallel content aggregation and ESI cache protocol. It also includes a powerlful database oriented CMS built on top of Apache Cocoon2 and DBPrism.
The Ecere SDK is a cross-platform toolkit for building software applications. It currently runs on Windows, Linux, Mac OS X (through X11), FreeBSD, and the Android OS. It should run on other Unix platforms with minor testing/tweaking. With the Ecere SDK, you can develop applications once and deploy them on all supported platforms alongside a lightweight runtime environment. It introduces eC, an object oriented language derived from and fully compatible with C, compromising neither runtime performance nor ease of use. A built-in 3D engine supporting both Direct3D and OpenGL is fully integrated.
FreeSMS (Free Student Management System) is a Web application for managing an educational facility. It manages teachers and students and provides marketing, registration, course management, attendance, and a student evaluation system, and manages courses within a class environment. Profile-based management is supported for administrators, teachers, and students. Teachers and students can be registered online. Students are allowed to manage their own class enrolment and submit course evaluations, and teachers can manage student attendance. The differential factor and elegance of this project lie in the OOP standard and a modular structure. The code is clean and very extendable.
