Af-Arch is an N-tier development framework to quickly build high-quality distributed applications. It currently supports C and C# programming languages, which enables you to write client applications using them. It currently runs on GNU/Linux and Microsoft Windows, and is being used in production environments.
The Artificial Knowledge Interface for Reasoning Applications (AKIRA) project aims to create a C++ development framework to build cognitive architectures and complex artificial intelligent agents featuring KQML, fuzzy logic, neural networks, fuzzy cognitive maps, and DIPRA. DIPRA is a distributed version of the BDI (Belief Desire Intention) goal oriented model.
The ATK Framework is a PHP business framework. It is targeted at developers who wish to focus on business logic instead of coding HTML. ATK provides a complete framework that requires only small amounts of code to get usable applications, while maintaining full flexibility. ATK has a model driven approach, but is 100% customizable.
Addresses is a GNUstep address book that consists of a full-featured address book manager application, a source-code compatible replacement for Apple's AddressBook.framework (for accessing and manipulating address data programmatically), a framework of view/editor classes that make it easy to use Addresses from your own programs, and a number of tools. It is easy to use by both users and programmers and can store almost all imaginable data, including multiple phone numbers, emails, and addresses, photos, AIM/Jabber/ICQ/Yahoo IM details, and notes. It supports drag-and-drop and integrates well with GNUMail.
The adventure PHP framework (APF) is a utility to implement object oriented and generic PHP Web applications. It allows the developer to create programs in compliance with approved software design patterns, and the code base already has answers to many everyday problems. The framework cannot be described as an application that only has to be configured, but rather as a technical basis and design guide for the design of software. Further, it introduced many concepts and efficiency tools already well known in the Java community.
Akelos is an MVC framework for PHP that tries to bring the magic of Ruby on Rails to the PHP world. Akelos based applications can run on most shared hosting service providers since Akelos only requires a standard PHP installation on the server. Akelos is designed to make developers lives simpler by solving complex problems with unusual speed and productivity. Favoring "convention over configuration" leads to the creation of uniform and simpler-to-understand code.
Amiba is a Gene Expression Programming (GEP) framework for Java. GEP is, like genetic algorithms, a branch of evolutionary computing. The framework separates the process of evolution from the process of interpretation of the chromosome, allowing the use of various schemes. For example, graphs may be used as terminals and graph operations as operators in the chromosome instead of the usual double precision numbers. It implements mutation, transposition, and recombination. Options and rates are easily configured through an XML file. A mechanism to load fitness cases in bulk is also provided.
