Sambuca is a Java HTTP server framework that allows developers to embed an HTTP server directly in their applications with custom HTTP request handlers, so that their application can directly process incoming HTTP requests and easily send back HTTP formatted responses to the requesting client. Applications can host standalone HTTP services such as Web Services without having to deploy and integrate with a full application server such as Tomcat, JBoss, or WebLogic.
Poor Man's Imaging Wrapper a clean and simple API wrapper over JAI, Java2D, ImageIO, and AWT. It supports a set of imaging operations (read, write, scale/resize, crop, grayscale, add transparency, rotate, add border, flip/mirror, add text, overlay, blur, sharpen, etc.) with simple direct calls to the API. If you want to switch from Java2D to JAI, all you need to do is add JAI jars to the classpath. It supports GIF encoding if PJA tools jars are available in the classpath.
jniThreadCPUUsage is a Java library to get the amount of user and system CPU time used per thread. This is done via JNI, which calls getrusage() on the system. getrusage() is only available on Linux 2.6.26 or later and Solaris. One useful application of this is measuring the amount of CPU time used for a servlet request. getrusage() CPU time reporting is better than using the real time clock because it measures actual CPU time used and disregards times when the thread is idle or waiting (such as when it is waiting for network I/O).
xml-test checks that an XML document is included in another document. It is handy when testing an application's output against a document where element order is different (GData and Atom are examples of specifications where element order is unimportant). It has a relaxed notion of containment: element order is ignored, whitespace is trimmed, comments are ignored, specific elements can be ignored by passing XPath-like paths on the command line, and text nodes (element and attribute content) can be ignored by passing '-notext' on the command line.
RbUtils is a development tool which provides utilities for Java ResourceBundles. RbChecker checks if a properties file has a corresponding ResourceBundle that can be loaded from the classpath. RbContentLister displays the content of a ResourceBundle. RbGenerator generates Java ResourceBundle source file by processing properties file.
Status Reporter is a time tracking application that was designed to track the time spent working on various activities associated with work breakdown structure (WBS) line items. Each activity is associated with a WBS line item, and a WBS line item is part of the overall departmental budget. Even though it was developed for a specific purpose, the ideas can be applied to almost any situation. For example, if you do not use WBS numbers, you could just create a single WBS number and associate all activities with it. Alternatively if you have multiple projects, you can use the WBS numbers as individual projects and have one or more activities associated with each. The WBS number does not have to be numeric, so it is flexible in its usage.
mod_sesehe is an Apache module that disguises and removes the "Server: " HTTP header from responses. This allows you to hide certain information about the server. This also allows more accurate information to be provided if Apache is configured as a reverse proxy and a malformed request is received. Although sending the Server header in HTTP responses is not defined as a MUST in RFC 2616, the Apache HTTP Server does not otherwise allow you to disable sending this header via its configuration.
