namebench finds the best DNS servers to use for your machine, benchmarks them, and outputs pretty graphs to tell you why they are optimal. It supports multiple data sources such as Alexa, your browser history, or tcpdump replays in order to generate the most relevant and individualized recommendation.
The Apache Traffic Server (TS or ATS) is a modular, high-performance reverse proxy server, generally comparable to Squid. It was created by Inktomi, and distributed as a commercial product called the Inktomi Traffic Server, before Inktomi was acquired by Yahoo!. Traffic Server has been actively used inside of Yahoo for over 4 years, serving billions of requests every day. As of fall 2009, Traffic Server is an Open Source project, and in April 2010 the Apache Traffic Server was promoted to a top-level project of the ASF.
The mission of the Apache Portable Runtime (APR) project is to create and maintain software libraries that provide a predictable and consistent interface to underlying platform- specific implementations. The primary goal is to provide an API to which software developers may code and be assured of predictable if not identical behaviour regardless of the platform on which their software is built, relieving them of the need to code special-case conditions to work around or take advantage of platform-specific deficiencies or features.
Ding is a PHP framework that provides dependency injection (by Setter, Constructor, and Method), Aspect Oriented Programming, XML, YAML, Events support, and some JSR 250/330 annotations as bean definition providers, lightweight, can be deployed as a PHAR file, simple, and quick MVC, syslog, TCP client and server with non-blocking sockets, timers, and custom error, signal, and exception handling, PAGI integration (for the Asterisk gateway interface), and PAMI integration (for Asterisk management). It is similar to Java's Seasar and Spring.
DKPro Similarity is a framework for text similarity. Its goal is to provide a comprehensive repository of text similarity measures which are implemented using standardized interfaces. The framework is designed to complement DKPro Core, a collection of software components for natural language processing (NLP) based on the Apache UIMA framework. DKPro Similarity comprises a wide variety of measures ranging from ones based on simple n-grams and common subsequences to high-dimensional vector comparisons and structural, stylistic, and phonetic measures. In order to promote the reproducibility of experimental results and to provide reliable, permanent experimental conditions for future studies, DKPro Similarity also comes with a set of full-featured experimental setups which can be run out-of-the-box and used for future systems to built upon.
Spring IDE for Eclipse provides plugins for the Eclipse platform to ease working with Bean Factory configuration files for the Spring Framework. It contains a Spring project nature (with an incremental builder for validating Spring bean config files), an image decorator (which decorates Spring projects and all Spring bean config files), a Spring view (which allows one to browse Spring projects and their Spring bean config files, including bean properties), and an editor showing a graph from the beans of a single config file or a set of config files.
