WSF Staff is Web Service Framework for C++, AJAX, and J2ME that is based on Apache Axis2/C. WSF Staff wraps Apache Axis2/C code into C++, and also provides many additional features: a stateful Web services implementation in C++ with instance support, a synchronous and asynchronous client implementation in C++, AJAX, and J2ME, a service-component architecture implementation, support for RESTful Web services and clients, WSDL support with xsd import and export, J2ME client support (based on ksoap), a flexible and extensible code generator to generate any sort of Web service related source code (not only in C++), security support (users, groups, sessions, ACLs, etc.), and a Web application toolkit (webapp) with widget support.
Apache PhotArk is a photo gallery application including a content repository for the images, a display piece, an access control layer, and upload capabilities. The idea is to have a rigid design for the content repository with a very flexible display piece. The images in the content repository will be protected with granular access control.
Upgrader is a simple tool that enables Java developers to add software upgrade capability into their applications. An upgrade process typically involves replacing the old version of the binaries with a new version of the binaries and performing data upgrades. It may also need to perform changes to the directory structure. The data upgrade outlined above may involve changes to the configuration files or database. This tool provides a framework which application developers can use to keep track of changes to the application. Every time there is a change in the database schema or configuration files, the application developers can create a "patch" script and add it to the "patch list". The Upgrader tool may be bundled with the application and is typically invoked during the installation and upgrade processes. When it is invoked, it determines the current patch level of the system, determines the patch scripts that need to be executed, sequences the patch scripts, and applies them.
MQRC2-GUI is an application that can interpret an MQ reason code number (i.e. 2035), MQ reason code symbol (i.e. MQRC_OBJECT_IN_USE) or AMQ message number (i.e. AMQ4005) and display the relevant information from the WebSphere MQ Messages manual. MQRC2-GUI requires Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.4 or higher and can run on any platform that has a JRE or JDK installed.

WolfpackSys is a software system that performs these large data conversion tasks in a distributed manner. The framework allows the best off-the-shelf conversion programs to be used in an automated system, and it runs the conversions in parallel on a large number of machines. It is currently used to perform image cropping, de-skewing, de-speckling, and OCR, as well as to create JPEG and Acrobat files from scanned images.

DirectMemory is an off-heap cache implementation (a la BigMemory) to enable in-memory serialization of a large number of Java objects without affecting JVM garbage collection performance. Although serialization makes things slower, put/get operations are well in the sub-millisecond range, which is pretty acceptable in every usage scenario. DirectMemory implements cache eviction based on a simple LRU (Less Recently Used) algorithm and on item expiration.
