TomP2P is a P2P-based high performance key-value pair storage library. Each peer has a table (either disk-based or memory-based) to store its values. A single value can be queried or updated with a secondary key. The underlying communication framework uses Java NIO to handle many concurrent connections.
Solr is an enterprise search platform from the Apache Lucene project. Its major features include powerful full-text search, hit highlighting, faceted search, dynamic clustering, database integration, and rich document (e.g. Word and PDF) handling. Solr is highly scalable, providing distributed search and index replication, and it powers the search and navigation features of many of the world's largest internet sites. Solr is written in Java and runs as a standalone full-text search server within a servlet container such as Tomcat. Solr uses the Lucene Java search library at its core for full-text indexing and search, and has REST-like HTTP/XML and JSON APIs that make it easy to use from virtually any programming language. Solr's powerful external configuration allows it to be tailored to almost any type of application without Java coding, and it has an extensive plugin architecture when more advanced customization is required.
Nexenta is a complete GNU-based operating system built on top of the OpenSolaris kernel and runtime. The Debian system is used for software distribution and packaging to glue the numerous pieces together. However, Nexenta is not currently part of the Debian Project, nor are its packages present in the Debian database. It includes Apache, MySQL, Perl, Python, PHP, Firefox, Evolution, a software update manager, Synaptic package manager, Gaim, Abiword, administration and development utilities, editors, graphics, GNOME, interpreters, libraries, and much more.
PIT is a fast bytecode based mutation testing system for Java that makes it possible to test the effectiveness of your unit tests. You can think of mutation testing as either as an automated test of your tests or as a much more in-depth form of code coverage. Unlike traditional line and branch coverage tools, PIT does not just confirm that your tests execute your code, it confirms that your tests are actually able to detect faults in it.
The Android Scripting Environment (ASE) brings scripting languages to Android by allowing you to edit and execute scripts and interactive interpreters directly on the Android device. These scripts have access to many of the APIs available to full-fledged Android applications, but with a greatly simplified interface that makes it easy to handle intents, start activities, make phone calls, send text messages, scan bar codes, poll location and sensor data, use text-to-speech, and more. Scripts can be run interactively in a terminal, started as a long running service, or started via Locale. Python, Perl, JRuby, Lua, BeanShell, and Bourne shell are currently supported.
