AsDoclet can be used to generate Actionscript and C# files out of Java sources. Such a tool is useful for RIA and client/server applications where value objects are transmitted between server and client as serialized data that should be deserializable on both ends again. That includes remoting technologies like Flash Remoting, RTMP, Blaze DS, Red5, and Hessian.
Sight is a Java Web framework built on top of J2EE technologies, and particularly on top of the servlet API. SightWF provides a simple programming model for building RIA applications. SightWF is initially designed to be deployed on Google App Engine, and can be run in a J2EE servlet container such as Tomcat.
Dove is an application that facilitates the distribution of documents to a variety of destination types such as email, local files, FTP, FTPS, SFTP, TFTP, Samba servers, Windows network shared drives, and WebDAV servers. Being an abstraction layer over previously enumerated protocols, it allows sending of documents to email or to a WebDAV server with equal ease.
Juxy is a Java unit testing library for XSLT. It allows you to write JUnit tests for XSLT stylesheets. You can easily setup transformation context (parameters, variables, current node) and then invoke the transformation. There are corresponding methods to call or to apply individual templates and you can even pass parameters to these templates, or apply templates in different modes. Result of the transformation can be verified in a number of ways; you can evaluate an XPath expression or you can perform canonical XML comparison. It works with any XSLT processor that supports the TRaX API.
JRedis is a high-performance Java client and connector framework and reference implementation for Redis distributed hash key-value database. It will provide both synchronous clients and asynchronous connections for Redis. The connectors will be both passive (non-threaded) and active, to address deployment scenarios and usage requirements.
dao-zero is a tiny Java bean used to reduce the source of a persistence tier based on Spring's iBatis support. The usual way to use iBatis in Spring is to write code and invoke the iBatis API explicitly. dao-zero invokes the iBatis API for the developer automatically, without the need to write implementation code. It will implement DAO interfaces automatically and invoke iBatis SQL mapped statements for you. You can use it to replace your DAO bean class directly.
LibMySequoia provides an alternative library for MySQL C client library (libmysqlclient.so) to benefit from the Sequoia high availability and performance scalability clustering solution. Native MySQL client programs can use the Sequoia clustering solution without changing any line of code in the application. The benefit of this solution is that native C applications, PHP, Perl, and Python programs using the MySQL C API interface now can transparently connect to a Sequoia cluster.
