Netscape Security Wrapper manages the loading of NPAPI (Netscape Plugin API) plugins and applies simple policy decisions. The intention is to allow administrators to deploy deprecated, unreliable, or unsafe third party plugins while minimizing the security exposure. Safari, Google Chrome, Firefox, and other NPAPI-compatible browsers are supported on OS X and Linux. Use cases include: restricting plugins to certain domains, restricting the use of deprecated plugins to known outliers, allowing internal corporate workflows which use insecure or deprecated plugins without exposing the plugin to the hostile Internet, and allowing multiple outdated plugin versions (e.g., Java) to co-exist for use in whitelisted, trusted enterprise tools.
GreenMail is a suite of email servers for testing purposes and sandbox development. It supports SMTP, POP3, and IMAP (including SSL) and can be embedded into any Java application or unit test. The GreenMail Service (SAR) extension runs as a JBoss embedded developer mail server sandbox, manageable via JMX.
dput-webdav is a "dput" upload method plugin with extended WebDAV support. It was written specifically with Artifactory and Bintray in mind. It tries to be compatible with the "http" plugin, but offers additional features: login credentials can include the password, "incoming" can be a full URL (optionally containing dynamic package metadata, and supporting HTTPS), and distributions can be mapped to repository names.
Skwish is a fast, simple, lightweight Java library for storing blobs on the file system. It allows multiple concurrent readers and writers, provides all-or-nothing write semantics, and is designed to survive abnormal, unclean shutdown. Skwish is a structured implementation of storing all blobs in a single file to save on file system I/O. Skwish is premised on the proposition that blob storage ought to be orthogonal to the task of indexing. It is meant to be a clean and simple store on which some other index can be built.
EJOE is a lightweight Java remoting framework built to send and receive objects through pluggable (de)serialization mechanisms. It offers a high-performance, simple, and clean object request broker (whereby ORB is meant in its natural manner and not in its relation with CORBA), with server and client components for your client/server applications. It's a highly scalable implementation of the common request-process-response pattern based on Java NIO. It does support optional remote class loading to avoid redundant classpath entries, but doesn't require stubs and/or proxy objects.
MochiPHP is a lightweight framework for PHP that adopts component and page oriented design with a simple database and object-persistence library. Page oriented design: write a class and template pair per page. Form components hide complex HTML markup and user interaction handling. Persistent objects with auto-generated property accessors.
When writing anything that needs to communicate with a terminal in some way, it is almost always speaking some dialect of VT100 or ANSI. The libvt 100 library aims solely at parsing a stream of VT100/ANSI data and then letting the host application do the rendering. Many other projects also parse VT100/ANSI data, but their parser is always tangled up with the actual rendering of the data, making reuse in other projects problematic. The hope is that other projects will start using libvt100 and everyone can stop reinventing the wheel with each project.
Rachel is a resource loading toolkit for Java Web Start/JNLP. Rachel offers two solutions that make resource loading for Java Web Start/JNLP apps easy again. Solution 1 installs a URL handler for a new protocol called class:// that delivers content from jars identified by a Java class. Solution 2 embeds a multi-threaded ultra-lightweight Web server in your app that serves up content from jars in the Java Web Start application cache. Rachel also works without Java Web Start, although this might be pointless. Examples and user documentation are provided.
