House Of Mirrors (HoM) is a logic game inspired by Chromatron (from Silver SpaceShip Software). The game consists of a 2D grid in which several types of objects are found, including detectors and mirrors. The goal is simple: light up all the detectors using emitted or reflected rays of light. Usually, you can move and rotate the mirrors but not the detectors. In each level, the choice of available objects is limited. There can be more than one solution for each level. Levels can be created by users in hand-editable XML format and shared with others.
uimaFIT provides Java annotations for describing UIMA components which can be used to directly describe the UIMA components in Java code without the need for traditional UIMA XML descriptors. This greatly simplifies refactoring a component definition (e.g., changing a configuration parameter name). uimaFIT also makes it easy to instantiate UIMA components without using XML descriptor files by providing convenient factory methods. This makes uimaFIT an ideal library for testing UIMA components because the component can be easily instantiated and invoked without requiring a descriptor file to be created first. uimaFIT is very useful in research environments in which programmatic/dynamic instantiation of UIMA pipelines can simplify experimentation. For example, when performing 10-fold cross-validation across a number of experimental conditions, it can be quite laborious to create a different set of descriptor files for each run, or even a script which generates such descriptor files. uimaFIT is type system agnostic and does not depend on (or provide) a specific type system. This project has been superseded by the Apache uimaFIT project.
SwiXAT is a Swing-based authoring tool for the quick and easy development of GUI Java applications. It implements a true MVC framework and uses XML to define the view (SwiXML is used as the XUL engine), BeanShell as a scripting language for the controller, and JXPath as the binding mechanism between the view and model. It provides a complete environment in which it is possible to almost write an entire Java Swing application without writing Java compiled code. The use of XPath makes it very simple to traverse the object tree of the application's business model.

It also includes a powerful search engine and a recommendations engine, and it lets you categorize, rate, tag, filter, discuss, and discover knowledge in ways that most enterprise search applications can't.

jSmaTeP assists in the use of Java for processing import and export data by configuring a data structure rather than by programming it. The structure of the import data is specified in an XML file. jSmaTeP then generates a value object representing exactly one row or record in the import file based on a given XML data configuration. This means that if the import or export format changes, only the XML data configuration needs to be changed to match it.
Mole (Mobile Organic Localization Engine) provides room-level geoposition estimates using existing WiFi infrastructure. When you create an entry in the database by naming a room, your and other users' mobile devices will recognize when they are in that room. Other applications can poll or monitor the current room estimate and act accordingly, with context aware behavior. Because too much WiFi scanning drains batteries, it uses accelerometers and other tricks to keep scanning to a minimum while keeping update latency reasonable.
