Daisy is an enterprise content management solution, bridging the gap between classic Web site content management and the Wiki style of information management and discovery. It is ideally suited for intranet knowledge bases, product and/or project documentation, and management of content-rich Web sites. It consists of a repository server with powerful querying and versioning capabilities, and a Wiki-like front-end Web user interface with in-browser rich-text authoring.
Puppet lets you centrally manage every important aspect of your system using a cross-platform specification language that manages all the separate elements normally aggregated in different files, including users, cron jobs, and hosts, along with obviously discrete elements like packages, services, and files. Its simple declarative specification language provides powerful classing abilities for drawing out the similarities between hosts while allowing them to be as specific as necessary, and it handles dependency and prerequisite relationships between objects clearly and explicitly.
mod_athena is an Apache-based application load balancer for large systems. It allows the HTTP server to act as a load balancer either internally to Apache's own mod_proxy (for reverse proxying), or externally to machines querying it. Arbitrary statistics are sent to the engine via a simple GET plus query-string interface, from which it will then make decisions based on chosen algorithms.
jrawio is a Service Provider Implementation for the Java Image I/O API that provides the capability to read images stored in a "camera raw" format. It supports various formats from the major camera manufacturers (e.g. NEF, CRW, CR2, PEF, SRF, MRW) as well as Adobe Digital Negative Format (DNG). It is made of pure Java code and does not require any native library.
VRaptor 2 is a Web-based MVC and IOC framework based on many frameworks and ideas (Seam, Stripes, Webwork, Hibernate Annotations, etc). It makes full use of Java 5 Annotations. It favors convention over configuration, because configuration in XML/properties/annotations is always easy to make mistakes and repetitive (aka copy and paste in many places). This framework uses a more imperative approach, instead of having many XML files to configure lifecycle and other properties. Most of the settings go inside plain Java objects (POJO), so the team knows exactly what is going on and where.
Pulga is a program for numerical simulation of dynamical systems. It is designed to provide a way for students and researchers who study dynamical systems to model them on a computer and analyze them numerically without the difficulty of traditional computer programming languages.
Wiseman is an implementation of the WS-Management specification for the Java SE platform. The project scope includes the WS-Management specification and its dependent specifications, which can be found at http://www.dmtf.org/standards/wbem/wsman/. The project requires Java SE 5+ or above, and is built on JAXB 2.0 and SAAJ 1.3 (part of the JAX-WS project). Ant scripts for standalone and Netbeans builds are supplied.
