Midao JDBC simplifies development with Java JDBC. It is flexible, customizable, and simple/intuitive to use, and provides a lot of functionality: transactions, working with metadata, type handling, profiling, input/output processing/converting, pooled datasource libraries support, cached/lazy query execution, named parameters, multiple vendor support out of the box, custom exception handling, and overrides. With a single jar, it supports both JDBC 3.0 (Java 5) and JDBC 4.0 (Java 6). Midao JDBC is well tested. Not only does it have around 700 unit and functional tests, but it's also tested with the latest drivers of Derby, MySQL (MariaDB), PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL, and Oracle. Midao is a data-centric project. Its goal is to shield Java developer from nuances of vendor implementation and standard boilerplate code. Midao JDBC is the first library released under it.
CollabNet Connector Framework is an Openadaptor-based SDK that allows rapid integrations and migrations dealing with the artifact data shared between different tools in the ALM cycle in combination with the collaborative platforms from CollabNet. It features bidirectional, out-of-the-box tracker integration between HP Quality Center, CollabNet SourceForge Enterprise, CollabNet Enterprise Edition, database tables, and CSV files.
The OpenUDDI project is focused on creating a high performance, easy to use UDDI v3 compliant server and client library. The server and client is built using Java, version 5 for the server and version 1.4 for the client. The server uses Hibernate, and supports a wide variety of SQL databases for data storage.
TiTLi is a Google-like search tool for relational databases . It builds on top of Apache Lucene to provide an API and a GWT-based UI for searching multiple databases from various vendors simultaneously. It is very fast due to indexing, and the database is queried only when a record is chosen.
The Secure Storage service for the gLite middleware provides users with a set of tools for storing data securely and in an encrypted format on the grid storage elements. Data is accessible and readable by authorized users only. Moreover, it solves the insider abuse problem by also preventing administrators of the storage elements from accessing the confidential data in a clear format. The service has been designed and developed for the grid middleware of the EGEE Project, gLite, in the context of the TriGrid VL Project.
The Darwin Calendar Server is a standards-compliant server that allows multiple users to collaboratively share calendaring information. It provides a shared location on the network to store schedules, and allows users to send each other and manage invitations. In order to provide interoperability with multiple calendaring clients, the server implements the CalDAV protocol, which is an extension of WebDAV, which is in turn an extension of HTTP.
Isobel is a framework to build complex information retrieval and analysis systems. Isobel can be functionally divided in two subsytems, Isobel Gatherer (the crawling and filtering subsystem) and Isobel Analyzer (the analysis subsystem). The two subsytems can also be used separately. Isobel Gatherer offers ready-to-use services like content fetching, scheduling, document format conversion, Hyperlink graph storage and analysis, content storage and indexing. A programmer may easily add new services. Isobel Analyzer uses the IBM UIMA architecture to reuse the analysis components developed for this architecture.
