PRADS is a "Passive Real-time Asset Detection System". It passively listens to network traffic and gathers information on hosts and services it sees. This information can be used to map your network, letting you know what services and hosts are alive and used. It can also be used together with your favorite IDS/IPS setup for "event to host/service" correlation. It can help you make sure that your inventory database is up to date. PRADS commes in two versions. One written in Perl, and one written in C. Some features might only be found in one of the versions.
The pbs_python package is a wrapper class for the Torque Batch System C library. With this package, you now can write utilities and extensions in Python instead of C. This package was developed to replace xpbsmon by an ASCII version named pbsmon. PBSQuery is also included in this package. This is a Python module built on top of the pbs Python module to simplify querying the batch server. There are a lot of examples included in the source package.
g7ctrl is a daemon and a command shell that are used together with the Xtreme GM7 GPS tracker to help simplify its management and to make it possible to monitor alerts sent by the tracker. It is designed to run in the background and can be used to both receive location updates from a remote tracker and configure a tracker over USB. All received events are stored in a database and can be exported to GPX, KML, and CSV, with distances calculated. It can also execute action scripts upon receiving specific events or generate mail notifications. Extensive reference documentation (HTML and PDF) and Unix man pages are provided.
tstime is a command that is similar to the time(1) command, but in addition to the runtime, it also prints the highwater memory usage (RSS+VMEM) of the controlled process. tsmon is a command that prints the runtime/highwater memory usage of every process that exits on the system until the tsmon is quit. These programs use the taskstats delay accounting interface of the Linux 2.6 kernel.
