ldap-abook is an LDAP-based addressbook application, intended for users wishing to maintain a centralized server based addressbook. It provides a schema for an LDAP directory, a Perl library module, and a CGI script. The Web interface is used to view, add, modify, and delete entries. Any LDAP-aware email client (eg. Netscape Messenger, Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes, etc.) can be configured to look up email addresses on the LDAP server. The package also includes a Perl script which can be used to dump the directory onto a PalmOS device.
VCF2alias is a tool to extract name and email information from VCF attachments (automatically if you use the enclosed mailcap), and writes a line (user-defined) to a file (user-defined). Originally, VCF2alias was aimed at mutt, but it should now work with any mail program that has text-file alias definitions.
kmMail is a PHP-based mail program, based on the mail functionality of Keftamail and is being developed by current Kefta employees. It is meant to be a framework for putting a web-based mail program on your site, but is still robust enough to drop into your current site with little to no modification. The goals of kmMail are MIME compliance, speed, low overhead, and an enjoyable user interface.
R-AddressBook is a Java address book which stores its data in XML format. It can be run on virtually any computer (including PDAs) and offers local and global address information storage, WebServices based synchronization, off- and on-line operation, no restriction on the type or number of fields for each entry, and automatic address updates.
eXtended Account Management System (XAMS) allows Administration of Unix, Web, FTP, DNS, and email accounts to manage a provider's typical userbase. Especially focusing on email account management, it enables you to easily create accounts, set aliases, and delegate domain administration to 2nd party resellers or customers. It uses PHP with MySQL or PostgreSQL as a backend, and is therefore able to manage tons of email accounts independently from your Unix/Linux accounts. Exim for SMTP and Courier for POP/IMAP are fully supported, but postfix, Cyrus, and qmail can be used too.
Wallal is a standalone LDAP-to-Web gateway. It allows you to search, add to, modify, and delete from an LDAP database. It can format entries and validate them upon submission, and the entries displayed are fully configurable. It was designed with a "personal" LDAP server in mind (one that is used primarily as a phonebook). However, it should be reasonably easy to modify it to do more complex operations on a directory.
