OCE (OpenCascade Community Edition) is a community version of the OpenCascade Technology 3D kernel, a C++ library for 3D CAD development. It includes components for 3D surface and solid BRep modeling, visualization, data exchange (STEP, IGES), and rapid application development. OCE aims to fix bugs and improve code quality and portability.
A lot of stereoscopic cameras use the .MPO format to store two JPEG images, including the Fuji W1, W3, and a few 3D camcorders that have a still mode. It can do two things for you: it can separate out the image files into a left and right pair, so you can process them or do whatever you want with them, or it can create an anaglyphic image (the ones you need coloured glasses to view). It is simple to use from the command line and takes wildcards, so you could process a whole batch of files with: mungempo *.MPO.
sbs_proc (Side by Side Processor) is a simple command-line application that processes side by side stereo images (such as those produced by some mobile phones) and converts them into monoscopic versions which can be visualised on non-stereo systems. It works on .jps files and produces .jpg outputs. It can produce anaglyph (red/blue glasses required) or right or left images.
Phlipple is a unique puzzle game. The goal of every level is to reduce a 3D shape to a single square. Elimination of squares is done by flipping edges around just like in a cardboard box. It starts off relatively easy to teach the basics, and provides hours of brain tickling fun. It's a great way to train memory as well as orientation in 3D.
PRISCILA is a simple SDL/OpenGL presentation application with a keyboard-based WYSIWYG built-in editor. Its aim is to provide a vi-like tool to write presentations. The current editor is still very rudimentary and several editing actions have to be done by editing text files. Each presentation slide is a real 3D scene composed of several items. Special effects can be applied to modify item appearance, and actions can be added to modify items' behavior. 3D objects, effects, and actions are GNU/EDMA objects, which automatically provides plug-in support, easy updates, and more. An RFComm Bluetooth interface is included for remotely controlling a presentation from a mobile device.
Construder is a 3D game featuring a dynamic infinite world of cubes to explore and change. In an artificial infinite structure, the player has to gather resources for construction purposes and for basic survival. Its 3D engine and basic game play are inspired by Minecraft and Infiniminer. The goal is to get 10,000,000 score points and get the "Construder" rank. Dangers the player might run into are starvation, as all actions require biological energy, and the randomly appearing robot drones that teleport the player far away. The game is feature complete and ready to play.
