Radiator is a radiosity renderer. It implements matrix, progressive, and hierarchical radiosity with clustering, and handles a variety of model formats, including multiresolution models. It also comes with a visualisation front-end, 'radvis', useful for previewing scenes or teaching, a scene viewer 'slview', and a Mesa-based batch rendering program, 'slrender'.
World Foundry is a 3D level game engine and asset production pathway with over 170,000 lines of code. It was originaly created as a commercial product, but is now being released under the GPL. The engine was designed from the beginning to be cross platform, and ran on Windows (DirectX, GL), and the Sony Playstation. The production pathway ran on Windows, and extended 3DStudio Max to be our level editor. The engine is currently being ported to Linux (it runs, but needs work), with plans to port the production pathway as well. Developers are wanted to help with this effort.
Verse is a network protocol and client/server application architecture for multiuser realtime distributed 3D graphics applications. It uses a lightweight server to store world data, and then relies on clients to connect and use the data in various ways. Verse uses subdivision surfaces as its single geometric primitive, which both conserves bandwidth and allows very good scalability and visual quality on modern 3D hardware.
vetetris is a game written in Java. It's similar to tetris, but it is played in 3D. There are figures which are falling that have to be placed in the right manner. You can rotate the blocks in six different directions and move them in five directions. As time goes on they move faster and faster, and it gets harder to put them in the right spot.
