Tic-tac-toe is an OpenGL game that focuses on graphical effects, specifically realistic 3D rendering of water. The water surface is procedurally generated, and the pieces float realistically on top of it. The water is textured, blended, and environment mapped. It is fully refracted and incorporates the Fresnel term for opacity.
ManiWheel is a GL hack for xscreensaver. It draws the spinning Tibetan mantra, "OM MANI PEME HUNG" for the blessing of all beings. It features transparent and no-transparent modes, two internal textures, the option to enable or disable a specular image. The height, radius, shininess, distance, and speed of rotation may be changed. It can also be used to draw any texture in the .rgb format.
GNUSTEP Live CD contains a lot of software for GNUstep, a free implementation of the OPENSTEP framework (which is also directly used in Mac OS X as Cocoa). It includes excellent applications for RAD (GORM and ProjectCenter). The CD is available for i486, AMD64, Apple Mac PowerPC, and Sun UltraSPARC computers.
Cug is an equation plotter with a heavy emphasis on beautiful rendering. It can be considered a simple openGL modeler parameterized by mathematical equations. Extensive controls allow for real-time modification of lighting, coloring, texturing, fog, and a few other aspects. Rotation, panning, and zooming are easily controlled with the mouse. An off-screen rendering target allows for generation of large images. The excellent gtkmm and gtkglextmm libraries provide the interface.
Drome Engine is a 3D game engine written in C++ using OpenGL for graphics rendering. Some of its features include dynamic lightmaps, stenciled shadow volumes, particle effects, md2 model loading, PCX and PNG image loading, TrueType font loading, simple physics, and a Quake-style console.
A modern platform independent OO language with a native JIT compiler.
A non-graphical .NET Project management component which enables .NET applications to read, write, and manage Project documents without utilizing Microsoft Project.
