3dom stands for 3-Dimensional Object Modeler. The aim of 3dom is to offer a tool to model reality with user-chosen accuracy, and user-chosen inclination for a particular purpose, which can be gradually improved and extended. 3dom is designed to be a general-purpose modeler, however it is especially inclined to model scenes for Global Illumination purposes.
ACFTools is a utility for manipulating X-Plane flight simulator aircraft and weapon models without using its Plane Maker. It can decode both Apple and Intel ACF/WPN formats into plain text files with a syntax similar to C, which can be edited and then re-converted into binary data. It is able to extract almost complete 3D models of aircraft (fuselage, floats, tanks, wings, stabs, propellers, engines) and write it in AC3D modeler format. Edited 3D parts can then be merged into plain text and consequently converted into binary ACF files.
Animadead is a skeletal animation library designed to load and play skeletal animations. It supports models that are composed of several swappable meshes bound to a single skeleton that can be driven by multiple animations. There is an export plug-in for Maya, and others are in development, including plug-ins for 3D Studio Max and Lightwave. It is written in C++ and has no dependencies. However, an example implementation is provided that uses OpenGL and SDL.
