GFileSplit is a very simple GNOME app to split a file into fixed size pieces and to join the pieces back into the original file. In the post-floppy era, this can still be useful because of size limits on mail attachments.
gh is a tool to look up stuff about an IP or name using libresolv. Thus, it honours /etc/resolv.conf, etc, unlike dig or nslookup. You can get the canonical name, aliases, name for number, or number for name, depending on options.
