Release Notes: This release adds an option to change PID/GID in the daemon. It adds support for PID files. It adds support for an active connections limit. The daemon is more verbose and fails more gracefully now. libpng 1.4 compilation problems have been fixed. Several other bugfixes and improvements were made.


Release Notes: Massive code improvement and reorganization were done. Previous 32-bit limits to filesize and timer were fixed, using a dynamic type of at least 64 bits. A new error reporting and logging system with more verbosity is used. Several new features, configuration options, and bugfixes were added.


Release Notes: A new feature was added: IP ToS marking, which is a provision that makes Level-7 QoS for HTTP possible.


Release Notes: A feature was added against "image bomb" DoS attacks. New options were added for content substitution and URL blocking. Support for "ICY" type shoutcasts was added. A bug that caused wrong colors in certain situations while compressing to jp2 was fixed. A bug that caused crashes in very specific situations while compressing to jp2 was fixed. ModifySuffixes provisions were made obsolete. Flex is no longer required for building from sources. Test programs were obsoleted and removed. Miscellaneous code cleanup was done.


Release Notes: This release adds outgoing HTTP port restriction support. It fixes a bug that caused some pictures to not be recompressed to jp2k. It adds a Lanczos component resampler to jp2k. It fixes a bug that prevented HTTP connections with certain ports (more critical in big-endian architectures). There are miscellaneous bugfixes and improvements.


Release Notes: An ad blocker has been added. Authenticated proxy connections logs now identify the username. Exception list support has been added for the BindOutgoing option.


Release Notes: Support was added for exempting specific URLs from compression. Man pages were added. The routines for basic proxy authentication were rewritten and are now faster. Miscellaneous code reorganizations and cleanups were undertaken.


Release Notes: This version includes much improved JPEG 2000 support, both feature-wise and in speed terms. It includes support for JP2 per-channel resolution and sampling rate, support for incoming JP2 images, and a "tunnel mode" for clients which do not support JP2. Compression level is now specified in percentage quality (just like JPEG) instead of compression rate. It also fixes a couple of JP2-related quirks present in previous versions.


Release Notes: x86_64 compatibility problems were fixed. A new configuration parser was added. Stream-to-stream gzip compression was added. The access log now reports the compressed size of compress-and-stream data. Limited support for partial HTTP data download was added. A workaround was added for a MSIE bug. Miscellaneous bugs related to gzip/gunzip routines were fixed. Several bugs which may have prevented compatibility with less common OSes/architectures were fixed.
