I was looking for a light alternative to kuake, well I don't think I could have found better

This *rocks*

Great! Does not re-invent the wheel -- it uses xterm for the actual terminal (rendered "--into" the yeahconsole window), so if you spent a lot of time configuring xterm to your taste, this will feel just like home. Took only a few seconds to install, and it delivers exactly what it promises.

This will be in my .xsession for years to come!
