Projects / YAAPG

YAAPG (Yet Another but not just Any Playlist Generator) is a Perl script to generate a random .mp3 playlist for your music player. It randomly generates a playlist of MP3 music files into a convenient .m3u file found in /albums of the YAAPG folder. It handles fixed as well as VBR MP3s. Deep nesting of music files is supported; there is no need for playlist preprocessing. There are no song repeats per playlist, and repeats on successive runs are user-controlled with a history file function.

Release Notes: Users can now abort the program cleanly by typing "exit" at the prompt. If no music is found, the program now exits gracefully rather than offering you 0 hours and 0 minutes of music and going into an endless loop.
