Release Notes: The image-manipulating hacks ('slidescreen', etc) can now operate on randomly chosen image files from disk, or on frames captured from the system's video input, instead of (or in addition to) manipulating images of the desktop. 'vidwhacker' has been rewritten to use the new image-grabbing mechanism. Fading now works on TrueColor XFree86 4.x systems, a fix for a subtle rendering bug in 'atlantis' (the fish were inside out!) has been included, 'atlantis' now has a texture simulating light reflections from the surface of the ocean, a fix for label placement in 'molecule' has been included, color bars in 'xteevee' have been improved, and 'install-strip' no longer tries to strip scripts.

Release Notes: New features include better rendering of the new logo, a new hack called `gltext', improved coloration in `sierpinski3d', smoother motion and rotation in `gears', `glplanet', `moebius', `rubik', and `sierpinski3d'. A `-planetary' option was added to `gears', to draw a different kind of gear system. The GL hacks now react to window size changes. Most of the GL hacks now take a -fps option, which you can use to benchmark your 3D hardware. The previous fix to `sonar' was fixed. A minor fix was made to `nerverot'. `sonar' is now able to ping hosts on DEC OSF1. A bogus "didn't get enough colors" warning in some of the hacks was eliminated.
