The xP Email System

xP provides an intuitive, high quality, graphical (X11) user interface to the University of Washington's PINE Messaging System. xP aims to provide an interface that is welcoming and easy to use for the new user, while still retaining the look, feel and key commands of PINE for the experienced user.

Release Notes: This version uses the current Pine 4.33 and XClass95 0.5.3. All Pine commands are routed through Pine: xP only interprets message editor commands. A clickable keymenu was added to every screen. A progress bar was added to the status line. The email/newsgroup folder and the message view now work. The email/newsgroup message compose/suspend/cancel functions now work. All icons are now included in the binary. The window manager titlebar now displays Pine status.

    Release Notes: Viewing mailboxes of any size, a fix for crashing when closing the xPico message reader, interceptng Pine alert messages and passing them on to the GUI, auto-raising of the active message window, and graphical & text welcome screens.
