Release Notes: This release is the initial port to the new architecture. The goal is stability in the core and standard plugins in order to begin development of more advanced desktop features. XNotesNG is now licensed with an MIT license.
Release Notes: This version adds a hidden title bar for XNotes, an option to edit Categories for the Todo Manager, a Shade option to the Notes menu in XNotes windows, and an option to edit PILOTPORT. It removes the registration option, and switches the builtin help to use online help. This release additionally fixes a segfault at startup caused when PILOTPORT was not set prior to starting the application.
Release Notes: This release fixes Todos when the entry deleted notes window is updated to show the newly selected entry's note. A Save button has been added to calendar note, and it allows edits to be saved or canceled properly now. Timers have been added to check if the day has changed and change the highlight in the Monthly view of the Calendar Manager.
Release Notes: A builtin, ful-featured Calendar Manager was added to replace the old external dependency on ical. Extensive updates were made to the Todo Manager. The latest pilot-link library (with USB support) is now supported. Compile time support for CUPS printers is available. The HTML documentation was improved, utilizing gnome-moz-remote to choose your browser. Many bugfixes were made. An improved theme with a polished appearance was added.
Release Notes: A new NOPILOT config option to build without Pilot tools and forcing gmake/gcc to not do parallel buils (these address build problems on Solaris 2.8), fixes for build problems with XFree86 4.1, a fix to the installer to actually show status updates on the status bar, and fixes for broken themes.
Release Notes: Apparent changes to the imake template files for XFree86 4.1 caused build problems with XNotesPlus V3.5 and earlier. Workarounds were implemented, but these may break builds on non-XFree86 based (non-Linux) systems. Another problem was noted by references to missing files with the extension ".xpm" during startup of XNotesPlus. This has been fixed. Only users who had build/install problems or who encountered the missing .xpm files with V3.5 should upgrade to 3.5.1.
Release Notes: This release completes the beta cycle for the 3.5 version. Various bugfixes were made, and are noted in the History file. pilot-xfer support was extended to include install, delete, fetch, and list DBs. Other new features include merging of multiple notes, print options for the Todo and Address Manager, spell checking for XNotes, the ability to import/export XNotes with Todo and Address Managers, and a graphical installer (xninstall). A new mailing list has also been added.
Release Notes: Address Manager supports printing 1 or more address entries, Todo List & Address Manager import/export their notes from/to ordinary XNotes, a new "No Date" option for Todo List entries Due Date, and lots of minor bugfixes, including switching to unlink() from "system(rm)", better display handling in address manager, and changing category to Unfiled in default address db to prevent a crash.
Release Notes: This is the first of 3 scheduled public beta releases of V3.5.0. It includes a new spell check feature for individual xnotes and an optional graphical installer.
Release Notes: This is a bugfix release. Two major problems were found in 3.4.2. The first was a crash that occurred when exiting the Todo window while in a category with no entries. This has been fixed. The second problem was a persistant problem with notes losing their positions when they were spread out across multiple desktops. This long-standing bug appears to be fixed. A note was also added to the FAQ regarding the use of USB devices with XNotesPlus.
