XMLTV is a set of programs to obtain and process TV (tvguide) listings and manage your TV viewing. It stores the listings in an XML-based format and most of the programs are filters which read and/or write XML. It includes tools to obtain, sort, grep, print, and munge listings, and two end-user programs to plan a week's TV viewing.

Re: ...
Thanks for the info....
I'm fine with the command line. Obviously it'd be
nice if someone would write a GUI :) It shouldn't be
too much of a problem, since the prog uses XML...
it's just a matter of finding the time!
Nice work.

Digiguide... heh. Someone had a reasonable try at reverse-engineering the Digiguide file format, but they changed it.

It's not nearly as slick as Digiguide... OTOH it is in Perl, uses plain text (or XML) data files, and works with Unix pipes :-). In other words, it's probably better than Digiguide's app if you are comfortable with a command line.

Back up now: XMLTV (www.doc.ic.ac.uk/~epa9...).

Don't forget you can usually use Google's cache (www.google.com/search?...) to get to websites that are down.

Sounds great!! I was never really satisfied with
Digiguide's performance under WINE, but this looks
like a similar proggy that's native to Linux... in which
case it's most welcome!
One little drawback, I can't seem to connect to the
website for it... any mirrors?
