Release Notes: The Findbugs tool was used to find and fix various bugs. Testing was performed with various Java VMs on several architectures (27 combinations in total). The Primer was updated to reflect the improvements in the 1.3 release. This release candidate is considered stable; no significant bugs are known; only changes that are considered required will be performed before the 1.3.0 final release.

There is automatic generation of stubs, automatic generation of test cases for API implementation, and support for multiple implementations for a single API specification. Java 1.4/5.0-specific language constructs are now supported in the API implementation code. There is improved logging and various small enhancements were implemented. Various bugs were fixed.
