xfburn is easy to use burning software for the Xfce desktop environment (but will work with others). It uses libburn and libisofs as a backend. ISO files can be burned, data composition created, discs blanked, and DVD-RW media formatted and deformatted. Common burning software features not yet implemented are audio CD creation and disc copying.

Release Notes: Internal updates in preparation for better handling of disc detection. Various smaller file browser and drag and drop fixes.


Release Notes: Fixes to the drive detection code. One can create directories directly inside xfburn data compositions again without a crash. Improved error reporting.


Release Notes: This release adds audio CD support that uses gstreamer to do the decoding. Support of special files has been improved. Integration with Thunar is improved. Device handling is greatly improved, and mounted drives are now automatically unmounted, if possible (which requires HAL and thunar-vfs). Drag and drop from file managers is now supported.


Release Notes: This release uses a separate thread to add files to the data composition. The adding process can be stopped by closing the progress window. There are command line options to start some common GUI tasks. FIFO buffering has been added, as well as preservation of file attributes. You can blank a disc from within the burning dialog if a full but erasable disc is in the drive. The burn speed is actually set now.
