wmtheme is a Perl program for managing Blackbox, Enlightenment, Golem, GTK+, IceWM, Oroborus, Sawfish, Window Maker, and xmms themes. It can download, install, activate, and remove themes. It handles badly packaged themes and minimizes version mismatches.

Release Notes: GTK+ v2.0 themes are now supported, and a bug in IceWM theme handling was fixed. Support for GTK+ v1 and Afterstep themes was dropped.


Release Notes: This release adds support for the Oroborus and Golem window managers. The use of HTTP proxies is now supported. Theme activation has been enabled on several Unix platforms, and scanning for GTK+ themes has been fixed. Several other bugfixes and enhancements were also made.

Rebuttal: it does in fact work under Blackbox. Spiritlover may have tried running "wmtheme" when the correct invocation for Blackbox themes is "bbtheme", but it's hard to tell.
