      Release Notes: The next-generation (v2) Java plugin is now supported for the applet version of Wheel 'O Yum. The fault tolerance of the HTTP transport communications has been improved.

        Release Notes: The appearance of the wheel has been improved by adding more color and increasing the visibility of the selected restaurant slice. Performance of rendering the wheel while it is spinning has been improved. The option to render the wheel with 3-dimensional separators has been removed. A regression bug in which voting was still possible when the wheel was spinning was fixed.

          Release Notes: The base package name was changed from "Lunch.Decision.Helper" to "com.wheeloyum.wheeloyum". A bug in which properly-sized icons could not be selected was fixed. The user storage XML format was changed. A bug in which the status dialog would not display sometimes was fixed.

            Release Notes: Restaurant voting has been changed to only offer 3 options (Yes, No, and Don't Care) and to present them as individual buttons instead of a drop-down selection. Votes are now automatically cast after each modification. The version of Java being used is verified for compatibility. Restaurants which are excluded from the wheel are now visually identified.

              Release Notes: HTTP tunneling capability was added to the applet, client, and server. A progress monitor dialog was added for certain long-running operations. The server networking implementation was improved to avoid accidental denial of service. A bug in which a user can log in to the server with the wrong credentials was fixed.

                Release Notes: The Wheel 'O Yum application is now available entirely online through your Web browser. The performance of the networking implementation has been improved for speed and scalability. The chat component performance has been improved. The Applet's JAR footprint has been reduced. This release fixes a regression bug that prevented the server from running in a headless environment, a regression bug that prevented the Applet from re-embedding itself into the browser, and a performance issue relating to saving data.

                  Release Notes: An auto-login capability was added to the client applet. Several security bugs in the message protocol which could permit impersonation and identity fraud were fixed. Restaurant URLs are now escaped so CGI params may be included. The server's message handling was improved with respect to I/O errors. Performance of the communications protocol was improved. By default, the applet will not employ antialiasing or 3D separators when rendering the wheel.

                    Release Notes: A bug in which the client's and server's graphical wheels did not match after spinning was fixed. A bug in which the private message list excluded a "broadcast" option was fixed. The "Vote" and "Options..." buttons were removed from the graphical server.

                      Release Notes: Icons are automatically resized (for users and restaurants) if they're not within range. A URL field has been added to restaurants. A restaurant's URL has been hyperlinked in the restaurant list. The user interface layouts have been improved. The user preferences file format was changed to use XML. The server settings file format was changed to use XML. A separate jar for the applet which offers a reduced footprint is now available. The applet's attach panel layout has been fixed. Several l10n bugs have been fixed. The communications protocol has been improved.
