WeeChat

WeeChat (Wee Enhanced Environment for Chat) is a fast and light IRC client for many operating systems. Everything can be done with a keyboard, and it is customizable and extensible with C plugins and scripts. It is compliant with RFCs 1459, 2810, 2811, 2812, and 2813.

    Release Notes: This release has some new features, including gaps in buffer numbers, IPv6 support in DCC file/chat, new command /print, use of the IRC monitor command for /notify, a new IRC server option "ssl_fingerprint", and options to customize the default ban mask and kick message. Many bugs have been fixed.

      Release Notes: This release has some new features, including secured date (encryption of passwords or private data), searching of regular expressions in buffers with text emphasis, scrolling beyond the end of a buffer, dynamic day change message, support for wildcards in IRC commands (de)op/halfop/voice, redirection of welcome notices to the channel buffer, a new algorithm for nick color hash, and support for the enchant library in the aspell plugin. Many bugs have been fixed.

        Release Notes: This release has some new features, including support for multiple layouts, automatic unmask of join (when smart filter is enabled), DH-AES encryption for SASL, WebSocket support in the relay plugin, and optimizations in the aspell plugin. Many bugs have been fixed.

          Release Notes: This release has some new features, including IPv6 connection by default (with fallback to IPv4), support of IPv6 in the relay plugin, default values in /set, command /eval, expression in conditions for bars, and a backlog in relay for the IRC protocol. Many bugs have been fixed.
