Projects / WebPBC

WebPBC (Project Budget Consolidator) is a Web-based application that enables small- to medium-sized companies to do budget consolidation on their projects. It is especially suitable for companies that coordinate projects that are geographically distributed. The Web-based interface allows managers, accountants, and organizers from anywhere in the world to access, update, and consolidate budget data stored on a central server.

            JVM 1.4.1 not stable
The precompiled WebPBC release is intended for testing or evaluation only. There have been some reports of the JVM version 1.4.1 inexplicably crashing when running WebPBC over a period of several hours. The problem appears to originate from the JVM 1.4.1 itself, or perhaps its interaction with Tomcat, so its not something that can be fixed within WebPBC.

Therefore, if WebPBC is to be deployed in a production environment, you are strongly advised to recompile the WebPBC source using JDK 1.4.0 and run WebPBC on JVM 1.4.0. This has been tested to be stable.

            WebPBC 1.3.2 release fixed
The original WebPBC 1.3.2 released on Feb 15, 2003 contained a wrong configuration file that crippled it. I've updated the zip files with the correct configuration file on Feb 21, 2003. Anyone who downloaded WebPBC 1.3.2 before Feb 21 please download it again. Sorry for the inconvenience.
