Wandora

Wandora is a general purpose data extraction, management, and publishing application based on Topic Maps and Java. Wandora has a graphical user interface, layered presentation of knowledge, several data storage options, rich data extraction, import and export capabilities, and an embedded HTTP server that enables dynamic publication of Topic Maps. Wandora is well suited for rapid ontology construction and knowledge mashups.

Release Notes: This release features an undo and redo for all topic map operations. It upgrades Twitter, Facebook, and Europeana extractors. There are numerous fixes and enhancements.

Release Notes: This version features dockable topic panels, a Europeana extractor, and a number of tiny fixes. Dockable topic panels allow the user to work simultaneously with several different topic views and editors, all synchronized.

Release Notes: New features include a Guardian open platform extractor, a Freebase extractor, a DOT graph format export and a topic map layer visualization based on D3. Moreover, the graph panel views occurrences and graph panel filter management is easier. This release contains fixes in LTM export and disables some deprecated extractors.

Release Notes: Tool manager now supports JAR paths, enhanced timeline visualization, an iCal calendar format extractor, server modules for partition visualization, tree visualization and word cloud visualization, a cylinder graph generator, a lattice graph generator, a New York Times Event API extractor, and a lot of bugfixes.

Release Notes: The template mechanism of the Processing topic panel has been changed. Now the user writes a complete Processing applet instead of a partial applet. All enclosed sample sketches have been updated to follow this change. Two completely new sample sketches for the Processing topic panel: Sphere3D and Euclidean3D. Three new server modules for Wandora's embedded server: Timeline visualizes RSS and Twitter extractions, Googlemaps visualizes GeoNames, Oma kaupunki, and Palvelukartta extractions, and D3graph visualizes a topic map as a graph. This version also features a New York Times Article Search API extractor.
