Voreen

Voreen is a rapid application development framework for the interactive visualization and analysis of multi-modal volumetric data sets. It provides GPU-based volume rendering and data analysis techniques and offers high flexibility when developing new analysis workflows in collaboration with domain experts. The Voreen framework consists of a multi-platform C++ library, which can be easily integrated into existing applications, and a Qt-based stand-alone application.

    Release Notes: This major release adds an animation editor, multi-volume rendering, exploded views, aggregation of subnetworks, experimental OpenCL support, and many more feature enhancements and bug fixes.

      Release Notes: Missing shader files were added to the binary distribution. A crash when opening workspace files with the transfer function editor visible was fixed. Export of transfer functions now also works on Unix platforms with non-POSIX locale. In addition, several smaller issues were corrected.

        Release Notes: This major release adds multiple render views, property linking, improved volume handling, basic flow visualization, and many GUI improvements.

          Release Notes: This maintenance release improves rendering of large data sets, adds MinGW build support, and fixes several issues with ATI cards and for the Mac platform.

            Release Notes: This release adds experimental support for visualizing volume data sets much larger than the available GPU memory, improved user documentation, and video output using the ffmpeg library.
