VoiceBuntu (formerly Ubunterisk) is an Ubuntu-based live CD that uses Asterisk and VoiceOne to provide VoIP service without any system installation process. VoiceOne is a Web-based GUI for the Asterisk PBX. Ubunterisk can be used as a phone client as well as a PBX server. Ubunterisk can be administered either remotely or by accessing its local GUI. A capser-rw filesystem is used to store the system's data persistently.

Release Notes: This version comes with various new features. Some of these are considered mature and some of them have a pilot status. Overall and longterm stability of the system was increased. hylafax, iaxmodem, and avantfax were added. Remote syslog can be accessed through netconsole. New cheat codes were added.
Release Notes: This live CD release is based on Ubuntu 7.04 and VoiceOne 0.5.0_2 due to a minor bug in VoiceOne version 0.5.0.
Release Notes: VoiceOne 0.5.0 is included. Persistence mode has been changed: persistence is stored in a subdirectory specific to each release to avoid problems. A random login password is generated for higher security in normal operation. If you need to log in, you can add 'mypwd=X' to the command line and the login as root with password 'do_enterconfX', where 'X' is the password you entered in the command line. The feature 'nox' has been added to the command line, which allows the software to start without X11 (nox = no X) in order to save memory consumption in pure server mode.
Release Notes: This version contains various bugfixes and new features. Persistence should now work correctly. Various PHP warning messages that shouldn't be there were removed. A new command line parameter "nox" has been introduced, allowing you to operate ubunterisk in server mode, which has no GUI and consumes less memory.
