VMware ESX VCB Backup is a script that makes it possible to back up VMs automatically using different schedules. The backup is set up using key words in the VMs annotations. A backup can be made just once or on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. The grace period of the backups can be set to whatever your storage capacity allows. The script is run through cron or manually. The backup script comes with a restore script that provides a small menu to make restoring a backed up VM quite easy.
