VMBackup

VMBackup is a utility that performs a backup of a VMWare Server or Workstation virtual machine to a tar file, optionally compressed with either gzip or bzip2, which can be stored either locally or on another system using ssh.

    Release Notes: A bug that caused backups of virtual machines running under VMware Workstation to fail was fixed. There is now a working graphical user interface for performing backups. For users of the Debian/Ubuntu, the VMBackup package is now found in the “System Tools” menu. The status display is now more useful when backing up to a local archive.
