VideoLAN::MiniServer

The VideoLAN MiniServer (vlms) is a streaming server that works with the VideoLAN Client. It can read MPEG or MPEG2 streams (from a DVD, a file, or an encoding card) and send them through the network to a remote host or to a broadcast/multicast IP address. It has no scripting support but can easily be integrated into shell scripts.

        I can't reach the site either. However found this info on http://swik.net/VLC (http://swik.net/VLC) about the entire videolan server

        Due to a rack installation, some VideoLAN services will be down for some time today around midnight (CEST). The main website, forum, SVN and trac will be down during that time. Sorry for the inconvenience

        Although it's the 28th now, so they might be having some trouble.
