Release Notes: This is a major new stable release. Headline improvements are new tools for drawing and filtering, more flexible operators, dramatically faster approximate convolution, better file format support, and improvements in speed and responsiveness.


Release Notes: Headline improvements in this release are convolution and morphology operators that run four times faster thanks to run-time code generation, much lower memory use for many image file formats, a view-as-graph mode for the GUI, and support for the FITS file format.


Release Notes: Major improvements in this release are a new threading system improving SMP scaling further, a faster and prettier image repaint system, more progress with the core library rewrite, a new command line program for generating image thumbnails, support for PFM files, lower VM use, and new build systems for making Windows and Mac binaries. There are also the usual set of small speedups, portability improvements, and bugfixes.
