Viewnior
Viewnior is an image viewer with a minimalistic interface that is fast, simple, and light. It supports GIF, fullscreen mode, setting an image as wallpaper, rotation, flipping, and cropping. It is designed with usability in mind.

Release Notes: This version comes with simple crop, the "Open With" menu, an option to show or hide the toolbar, and a new mouse wheel action ("Scroll image up/down"). Image orientation metadata is now honored correctly. Custom assigned keybindings are now saved properly. Image height is now displayed correctly.

It is often faster when loading pictures if you compare it to Eog and contains a lot less depencies than the latter.
Image quality and usability are as good. I think the interface is laid out in a simpler/proper way.
To be considered as a lightweight replacement!
