VideoLinux

VideoLinux is a Linux distribution that focuses on video encoding and conversion. Out of the box, it provides the tools a professional would need to encode, convert, and edit video in various formats. It also uses Wine to incorporate pre-installed Windows applications.

Release Notes: Many new packages and upgrades, including an upgrade to a customised 2.6.15 kernel, a customised X.Org server that provides additional 3D support for many graphics cards, WINE 0.9.16, xDVDShrink 2.6.1, and Cinelerra 2.0.

Release Notes: This release featured the 2.6.13 kernel optimised for i686 processors with up to 4GB ram. DVD Shrink 3.2 was included, which runs under Wine. Firefox 1.5 and KDE 3.5.1 are now provided, and SuperKaramba is now intergrated with KDE. k9copy was upgraded to version 1.0.3b-1. Kino 0.8.0, a DV capturing and editing suite was included along with the KLVEmkdvd DVD authoring program, kdenlive 0.2.4, a non-linear video editing program, k3b 0.12.14, and Wine 0.9.9.
