Release Notes: This is an intermediate release due to a serious bug with attachments which surfaced in 2.7.9. Attaching a link in the top menu bar was fixed. Attach functionality was fixed. A URL in vqwiki.css for an external URL image was corrected. The use of "--" for strike-through was removed since it broke horizontal line ("----"). The Italian translation was updated. The RSS Servlet was changed to produce RSS output that validates with feedvalidator.org.
Release Notes: This release adds a basic preview option, including admin screen setting. The default behaviour is not to use it. It fixes a missing edit.js, ordered list trouble, the wrong path for linking.properties in admin-guide, an issue where the RSS plugin's keep setting produced a null pointer, and an Export2HTML problem. External links show up in ToDo.
Release Notes: This is the first release on freshmeat since 2.3.x, so there are many significant changes. Some of these are connection pooling and DataSource support, Oracle support, Italian and German translations, statistics, HTML export, RSS feed, full Lucene-based search, and many stability fixes.
Release Notes: Numerous bugfixes, a History browser, inline image uploads, and escaped double underscores.
Release Notes: This release includes a version browser: click the "history" menu item on any topic to see a list of the versions of that topic. Clicking a date in the list produces a display of both the marked up version and the original contents. Absolute URLs can be used for the customized logo. There is a new look'n'feel and some bugfixes to allow internationalized WikiNames. This version also features an extensible lexer system including Java source code formatting as an example, and provides full HTML include.
Release Notes: This version fixes an IE-specific problem with file attachment delivery sending the wrong file-type and filename. A file upload size limit was added to the admin console, and other minor fixes were implemented.
Release Notes: This version includes a printable-page link, extensible links ("links.properties" now holds expansions for links), sublists, improvements to the attachment system, and content is now delivered directly by servlet rather than having to place the attachment in a location relative to the JSP context. "mime.types" can be used to specify by-extension content types, the SmartUpload was replaced by the Jakarta Commons upload, the text formatter was improved, and the lexing is now performed in 3 passes. There are SMTP usernames and passwords for users who require authentication on SMTP, and templates are now available in file mode.
Release Notes: Email notification of topic changes is now implemented in file mode and database mode. The maximum number of backlinks can be set (the default is 20). The "Last Edited" date in file mode has been fixed. A problem with the list not working if started on the first line has been fixed. In file mode, RecentChanges are now serialized via JSX to XML.
Release Notes: Support for "virtual" wikis (more than one Wiki off the same server instance), improved MySQL support, improved markup (table support added), topic templates, and many other smaller enhancements and fixes.
Release Notes: Changing from GPL to LGPL, read-only topic support in database mode, improved default topic creation (default topics are stored as text files in the class path), improved error handling, a new enhanced text-formatter mode (which can be toggled from the admin console), a new default topic called FritzTextFormattingRules, fixes for database connections so a connection dropped by the database is reconnected, and a more robust initial config so it is possible to reconfigure from admin console if in database mode and database connection fails.
