uPortal is a general portal under development by institutions of higher education, using Java and XML. The primary goal of the project is to provide a highly customizable framework for creating large university portals.

Release Notes: The CWebProxy/CGenericXSLT security exploit was solved. JDK/JRE 1.5 is supported.
Release Notes: Various bugs were fixed. "Custom" is now displayed as a channel type in the Channel Manager. Version.java was modified to support security releases. The CAS uPortal security provider was moved into the source tree.
Release Notes: A complete rewrite from scratch, with only a few interfaces carried over from 1.x versions. The architecture is based on XSLT, and allows for widely diverse navigation/design schemes and target markup languges. The current release fully supports XHTML output, with many channels supporting WML. Reference implementations for authorization, permission, and directory services integration are provided.
