Univention Corporate Client (UCC) is a flexible and efficiently manageable operating system for PCs, notebooks, and thin clients in companies and institutions. The software contains a Linux-based desktop environment optimized for business use. It allows desktops to be adapted to hardware and intended applications. In addition, it can be managed conveniently and efficiently via a Web-based console. In comparison to other systems, it guarantees integrated administration procedures for users, clients, desktops, and permissions and effectively does away with the use of different, uncoordinated tools. It serves as a platform for access to remote desktop solutions and virtualized desktops as well as browser or terminal server-based applications.

Support for xrdp is now integrated and makes access to the KDE desktop faster, and possible from Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X systems. The UEFI boot standard is now supported, reducing boot time. The UCC image build tool has been improved and creates now more compact images.
Release Notes: This milestone requires UCS 3.2. It can be installed as preview through the Univention App Center in Univention Corporate Server, and comprises the update of Kubuntu 14.04, pre-versions of the XRDP integration, and the setup wizard, which is still a work in progress and already allows you to roll out desktop environments. The milestone is not designated for production use. An update from the milestone to the expected final release will not be supported.
