Ufficio Zero is an Italian live Linux distribution for the office environment. It has been created for newbies, with simplicity in mind, and has automatic hardware detection/configuration, automount for external devices, and the GNOME desktop with Evolution and the OpenOffice suite. It is based on Ubuntu Linux.

Release Notes: The Ubuntu subsystem was updated to 6.06.1, so now the system can be installed on hard disk. Many other small improvements were made. Most of all, desktop integration with ufficiosamente.it blog/picture/video community was started. Subscribing and posting is a matter of clicking on your desktop.

Simple scripts were added for downloading and installing non-distributable software such as media codecs, Flash player, and Java. A graphical network configuration dialog was included. Scanner support was added. Automatic hardware detection and configuration was added.

A gfloppy configuration problem was fixed. gst-plugins-cdparanoia was added to make gnome-cd work. Bookmarks were updated and HP OfficeJet drivers were removed because it is not currently possible to automatically configure them.
