TuxGuitar is a multitrack guitar tablature editor and player written in Java-SWT. It can open GuitarPro, PowerTab, and TablEdit files.

    Release Notes: Many bugs were fixed. Measure range to loop is supported. A feature to transpose notes was added. Affected notes are optionally transposed when tuning is changed. Support for moving beats left or right was added. More song properties options were added. Multiple measure support was added. Number of pastes support was added. The lilypond and fluidsynth plugins were improved. Plugins were added for jack, community integration, cocoa integration, and audio unit were added.

      Release Notes: Fixes for a mixer bug and a JRE 1.4 support bug. 2 Voice support. Chorus/reverb/phaser/tremolo MIDI controls. Upstroke/downstroke support. Stems up/down/auto support. Display of markers on the score. An encoding option in the GTP plugin. The FTP browser plugin now can run on non-Sun JVMs.

        Release Notes: A native MIDI port connection bug under Windows has been fixed. A mute/solo mixer bug has been fixed. Copying/pasting a measure between tracks with different strings count has been fixed. Other minor bugs have been fixed. A Vietnamese translation has been added.
