This is the most excellent and concise set of tools for creating discs from the command line. Very many automatisms are in place, e.g. making it easy to create animated menus. Qdvdautor and the likes may offer more eye candy, but have a much steeper learning curve before creating the first successful disc.
After the .30 release came out, I rarely use devede anymore. I use the todiscgui python script from this package, and it works pretty smoothly so long as the filenames don't contain commas. I can work around that though. I'm also a bit cautious about apostrophes. Exclamation points seem to be okay.
