    Release Notes: The most important changes are new racing rules, new race manager configuration options (e.g. a fuel consumption factor from 0 to 5), better handling of penalties, more input device adjustments in the player options GUI, historic car setup adjustments based on real world data, and as usual bugfixes and code cleanups.

      Release Notes: Modify/store/load car setups during practice and qualifying sessions. Improved content (totally reworked racetrack e-track-2; improved e-track-6 and wheel-2). The ability of robots to change the car setup during a pit stop. New Robottools API calls for handling car setups. Improvements to the simulation engine (1.5 way LSD, third element). Adjustments to the car categories and physical models. A new 4 speed stock car and category. Improvements to the TORCS Racing Board (public download of robots from past championships; reviewing best lap times per track). Many little improvements and bugfixes.

        Release Notes: The most important changes are the ability to modify/store/load car setups during practice and qualifying sessions, the ability of robots to change the car setup during pit stops, new Robottools API calls for handling setups, improvements to the simulation engine (1.5 way LSD, third element), adjustments to the car categories and physical model, a new four-speed stock car and category, improvements to the TORCS Racing Board, and, as usual, many little improvements and bugfixes.

          Release Notes: This release features three completely reworked tracks (models and textures), many improved tracks, an improved toolchain, new racing rules, an improved timewarp, Valgrind support, and many little fixes and improvements. This is a major release (the version number just denotes module interface compatibility).

                  Release Notes: Tracks and cars were reworked. Sound was updated and OpenAL support was added. New and cleverer opponents were added. Support for texture compression and downscaling was added. Collision detection and response were heavily improved. A Windows debug project was added. Lots of little improvements and bugfixes were done. The track editor was updated.

                    Release Notes: A new sound implementation and samples, a new track, new and updated opponents, a new open wheel car, nicer smoke and improved skid marks, an option to disable sound and an alternate OpenGL init, and lots of small improvements and bugfixes.

                      Release Notes: Multiplayer mode with split screen was implemented (for up to 4 players). A mirror for a driver's views was added. An in-game map display was added. Multiple joysticks are now supported. Separate control configuration for each player was implemented. New tracks were added, but are unfinished. Modified versions of e-track-4, e-track-6, mixed-1, and alpine-1 were added. K/Cendra car packs with cool 60's cars were added. The 406 Peugeot was added.
