Release Notes: This release fixes several bugs and usability issues. Tomb now works both in graphical and non-graphical environments, implements 'bind-hooks' that mount automatically internal directories under a user's home, adopts pinentry for secure authentication, and offers the ability to 'slam' a tomb, killing all processes that keep it busy. This release comes with detailed manual documentation. Packages are provided for Debian, Ubuntu, and Arch distributions.
Release Notes: This release fixes a critical bug affecting Tomb 1.3 which broke backward compatibility with older tombs and invalidates keys created using that version (for details, see KNOWN_BUGS). New features include indexing and search of file contents, engraving of keys into QRCode to backup on paper, and a setkey function to replace the key file locking a tomb with a new one. Symmetric encryption is key files is improved; ciphers can be selected using -o, and AES256 is default. This release restores backward compatibility with all tombs, and users are strongly encouraged to upgrade.
Release Notes: This is a major bugfix release including fixes for advanced functionalities as search/index, KDF key creation against dictionary attacks, and steganographic hiding of keys. It solves a compatibility problem when upgrading from GnuPG 1.4.11 to .12 which prevented keys from opening with the correct password. CLI usage options are made more consistent, and full paths for keys and tombs are supported, plus input of a key file from stdin. A new test suite is included and documentation is updated. All users of version 1.3 are strongly encouraged to upgrade to this release.
Release Notes: The main Tomb script was refactored for clarity. A new messaging system is now in use, implementing a batch mode for machine-readable output. The new index and search feature lets users run fast searches across open tombs. Tombs are now created in three steps: dig a tomb, forge a key, and use it to lock the tomb. Distributed extras include a new Python GUI and experimental KDF key encryption. Documentation was also improved. This release updates compatibility for Debian 7, still granting compatibility on older OS versions and all older tombs.
Release Notes: This release includes an important fix to correctly parse spaces in passwords. It also introduces a new 'passwd' command to change a key's password, checks on swap usage, and has updated documentation and better desktop integration.
Release Notes: This release fixes desktop integration issues with various file managers, activating MIME types triggers and icons for tombs. The CLI provides a new 'list' command that gives an overview on all tombs open, customization of mount options (opening a tomb read-only is now supported), and fancy colored messages.
