Release Notes: New MFD modes were added: a target view that displays a camera image of and distance to the currently selected target and a missile view delivering some spectacular sights. Decoy flares distract incoming missiles from their target. Tanks and the carrier turret fire much more precisely now and have become really dangerous to aircraft. Some new graphics, performance enhancements, and bugfixes were made, including one in the pixel shader responsible for water rendering that caused ugly artefacts on NVidia hardware.

Release Notes: This release mainly fixes a problem with a missing dependency on libedit.

  •  09 Jul 2007 05:55

Release Notes: An aircraft carrier was added, which serves as take-off and landing platform for the Lightning aircraft, and is capable of self-defense with a deck turret. A GLSL shader renders realistically reflecting water waves on machines with hardware shader support. A Lightning cockpit with multi function display was added (but currently only shows a magnifying view). Lots of work was done on the AI. Lots of bugs were fixed. Desktop integration was improved to allow you to start TnL with a click on an icon. A new installation method, autopackage, was added.

This version does not work in Ubuntu edgy
It requires a higher level of the libsigc++ library than is available in the normal repositories. There doesn't appear to be one in backports either.
