TkMAME is a full featured graphical front end for MAME (The Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator). It is written in Tcl/Tk and runs under both Linux/Unix and Windows platforms.

    Release Notes: Upgrades to work properly with the latest stable/development versions of xmame/xmess.

      Release Notes: Adds .PNG support for viewing images and fixes a couple bugs on Unix/Linux version. You will need to patch Tcl/Tk in order to get the .PNG support. In addition a MAME ROM Analyzer Tcl script is available at the home page.

          Release Notes: This version automatically groups ROMs by number of colors, and orientation type. Groups of ROMs are also categorized to make browsing the ROM groups easier. Also added mono/stereo, videomode, 8bit/16bit color depth, xil, mtxil, planar, grab mouse, and cursor switches. and more.

            Release Notes: This version is a rewrite which makes TkMAME 10% smaller than the previous version. The rewrite also enhances speed and allows for easy translation into other languages (German, Spanish, French, etc.).
